All forms of communication are covered but non-verbal communication presents an excellent opportunity for role play and the use of the cell phone to create a video to support learning. As always, make sure that before you start sending video files to YouTube, that your calling plan supports video file messages and that this feature is included with your plan and does not cost extra. MOBILE COMMONS | WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3, 2011 Smokers’ Quit Rates Double with Text Message Support A recent study about the effects of motivational text messages on smokers shows that mobile technology can do a lot more than send a message – it can change behaviors, too. According to the study, smokers who received cheerleading texts such as “Quick result! Carbon monoxide has now left your body!” were twice as likely to be smoke-free 6 months later as those who didn’t. That’s That’s a huge increase. It’s not news to us that texts make quitting easier , but it’s great to see such outstanding numbers continue to roll in. And having a positive effect on health doesn’t stop with smokers. MORE >>
