Solar power for your small and big mobile devices!
With solar powered technology you will get all the workspace and electrical independence you need, even in your back garden. With the SolarGorilla (137£) you can charge a wide variety of laptops and mobile devices straight from the USB-port. PowerMonkey eXplorer If the above package is too much and you only need to charge your mobile devices, it suffices to use the PowerMonkey eXplorer (64£). While trying out different types of solar panels, I began to like the set of solar panels mentioned below. Just imagine having to go abroad and no longer having to

SCORM Implementation For Mobile Devices
Recently we’ve made the UpsideLMS compatible to mobile devices and also launched a new version – UpsideLMS Version 4.0 . While ensuring compliance, we encountered some interesting issues in the implementation of SCORM and found very little help online about implementing SCORM for mobile devices. Mobile devices have limitations:

Austrian University studies Augmented Reality on mobile devices
This Monday I attended an extremely interesting presentation by Daniel Wagner of the Graz University of Technology. Daniel holds a Master in computer science and has been working on mobile augmented reality projects. One example was a tour through a campus in which users of a mobile phone could look through their mobile’s camera and actually see the buildings or rooms with certain tags on them.
He showed a few stunning demonstrations on what a combination between reality and a digital camera can create. Another application was a museum tour in which a virtual cartoon

E-learning in the Mobile World and the Right Business Model to Deliver It
I think it is safe to say that for most of us the personal computer is the first place we go when we are looking for web-based information; however, new web-ready mobile devices are emerging with increased speed and are blurring the line of what traditionally constitutes a viable endpoint for digital content. As the computing power of mobile devices improves and they become more affordable, the demand for content that works well on these platforms continues to grow. Have you seen the new Verizon netbook ? Is it a laptop, a souped-up PDA?

Mobile Augmented Reality – A Brief Overview
The integration of innovative technology in learning has always been a goal of educators. In the past two decades, we’ve seen advances in learning technology that allow learners to connect to powerful learning systems and sources of information that were previously unavailable. However, most recent technologies have forced the learner to learn through computer-generated reality or “virtual reality”. We have been unable to incorporate the physical world around the learner. But recent advancements are truly allowing learners to get the best of both worlds

M-Learning… How do Netbooks Fit In?
My fiance just purchased a netbook and before she even got it, I started thinking about how netbooks fit into our ongoing discussions on mobile learning. Traditionally, I’ve kept notebook computers out of my personal definition of mobile learning because they don’t really fit into the mobile culture. think the way people behave with mobile devices and how they interact with others is really what defines I Those behaviors are different than the behaviors we have with desktop and laptop computers.

Five Myths of Mobile Learning
I’ve been occupied with writing a paper to promote the adoption of mobile learning amongst corporates and enterprises. While trawling through multiple web-links, a pattern of myths about mobile learning emerges. I’ll be the first to admit there is always an element of truth behind myths; but with the rate of technological change, quite a few of those ‘truths’ would seem like falsehoods today.
Quite a bit of back and forth about these myths - I’m taking the liberty of listing and describing the five that struck me as odd, and am attempting to debunk them to an extent.
