There’s Apple and their iOS platform and there are the other devices that use Android. Let me provide a little context. | MOBLEARN MARCH 4, 2013 UNESCO Mobile Learning Week 2013 - free resources UNESCO has come out firmly in favour of mobile learning, and published a series of very well researched guidelines on how to make use of it. See below to links to all the resources. To quote them: The Symposium allowed UNESCO to launch its most important mobile learning publication to date: The Policy Guidelines for Mobile Learning. The joy of momentum! | | | | | | | THE MOBILE LEARNER APRIL 25, 2009 10 eBook/Audiobook Resources for Mobile Learning Reading this article about how ebooks will change the way we read and write inspired me to share some ebook/audiobook resources that can be utilized with mobile devices for mobile learning. Here’s a list of 10 eBook/Audiobook resouses for mobile learning: 1) Project Gutenberg : over 28,000 free public domain ebooks. 2) iTunes: Purchase a wide variety of high quality audiobooks. 3) Librivox : A large database of audiobooks read by volunteers. All books are in the public domain. 7) Wattpad : An ebook sharing community. | THE MOBILE LEARNER FEBRUARY 9, 2013 Using Mobile Devices to Increase Community Engagement After blogging about the use of mobile devices from the perspective of classroom instruction and student learning for over five years, I now find myself considering how these same tools that can be used to help students learn can also be used to strengthen the home-school connection. This makes it difficult to know what the depth and breadth of use is after only 5 weeks of tweeting. | MLEARNOPEDIA DELICIOUS NOVEMBER 2, 2009 Top 50 Mobile Learning Resources I’ve spent an inordinately long time writing a whitepaper on mobile learning trying to expound our thoughts about it and how it might be used in the workplace. If you’re considering mobile learning in any shape or form, I’d suggest you give these a browse. One of the travails of my paper writing (still continues) was that good web resources were quite hard to find, so be spared the ordeal, this is a good place to start. MOBLEARN | FRIDAY, AUGUST 31, 2012 Mobile Learning Guidelines - essential reading for learning leaders Those nice folks at UNESCO continue to champion mobile learning. Earlier this year we praised their grass-roots style Mobile Learning Series , and now they have taken that one step further by developing a set of guidelines for policy makers and learning leaders to help them benefit from m-learning. As they say in their report: This year the number of connected mobile devices, the vast majority of which are mobile phones, will surpass the world’s population for the first time in history. This represents a missed opportunity. enjoy! MORE >> -
