Yes, mobile moodle for iPhone is eminent, we will release open source code soon
This is the more formal part: The Institute of Tropical Medicine Alexander von Humboldt (IMTAvH) in Lima and the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) in Antwerp developed an educational mobile application allowing access to the latest medical information for continuing medical education (CME) of physicians working in HIV/AIDS care in remote locations in Peru. For those of you interested in mobile medical applications, check out the medic frontline-sms examples, really fantastic!!

Mobile ways to teach business and medical skills, plus a look at the changing face of e-learning…
During the last Online Educa Berlin, podcasts were recorded all through the conference . In one of them you can hear a bit of what we (= the eLearning team) does at the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium. But what is really interesting to hear is the podcast part of Michael Wesch.

#eden09: my poster presentation on mobile continued medical education
This is a link to the poster presentation I gave today at EDEN09. During this conference mobile learning was not really mentioned a lot. I also put in the movie of my (always moving) body as I present. The movie was filmed by Kristof who I filmed yesterday, so he put his foot down and told me I needed to put myself and my way of presenting stuff out there as well.

Electronic Health Care/Medical libraries: a student instrument created with Articulate Engage
This list of Electronic Health Care/Medical Libraries on the Internet was inserted into Articulate Engage by Carlos Kiyan and is almost 13MB. This list of medical libraries was made to make it easier for the students to find relevant medical resources. At ITM we are dabbling with Articulate Engage. One of our main concerns is trying to figure out whether Articulate Engage is something we can use in low resource areas.

starting a medical eLearning course for low resource settings: the Entry Questionnaire
The coordinator of this medical eLearning course (and main tutor) is Verena Renggli who will have a heavy task in front of her. In a couple of weeks ITM starts another eLearning course for health care workers in the field specializing in ART (AntiRetroviral Therapy). The response for this course was overwhelming and we were booked immediately.
