Ethics, technology and learning
All of the peers were using Nintendo DS to play games, so if anyone was using a Nintendo DS, the peers would think “ah, he or she is playing a game” – so not loosing face while actually learning to count. This last couple of days have drained my spirit, mainly because my ethics were challenged on different levels. Which one’s?

NASA goes MMO
NASA wants to start a MMO ( Massive Multiplayer Online game ) as an educational game. This certainly goes towards a full laboratory simulation if you ask me. At our institute we are working on a game that involves HIV/AIDS, but I will keep you informed on this one as we proceed with our plans You've gotta love this idea!

Playing games? While QRcodes do break through in the marketing world, it is only slowly trickling into the eLearning world. mobile learning and QRcodes: my session and the audience's ideas
The OEB08 session in which I spoke was amazingly rich in content (talking about the other participants). They all had great applications making use of language technology, sms, multimedia and all combining it in mobile examples.
