Flash Player On Devices – Going Mobile Just Got Easier
Many simulations use Flash, many games available in e-Learning courses use Flash and Flash is used a lot to deliver graphics, animations and different kinds of user experiences that are not able to be produced with HTML, JavaScript or any other traditional web technology. Security, and performance on mobile devices has been in question before. As one Google guy I spoke with recently said, “everyone is thinking about mobile.” 8221; And that is a really good thing for mobile learning.

Obama Mobile is Going to Get Out the Vote
Most elections are won by narrow margins and the game is finding the right population to help you swing the election. What the Obama Campaign has done is secure a massive Get Out the Vote list that will be a more cost effective solution than anything else. There’s been good coverage of Obama’s Vice Presidential announcement all over the web (particularly GigaOM and the NY Times ). While there has been some grumbling about the announcement coming a little late because CNN got the scoop, overall the Obama campaign is being lauded for their marketing savvy.

My mLearning Predictions for 2010
Mobile learning projects delivered in established and emerging global markets will outnumber those delivered in North America (USA/Canada) due to greater interest, faster uptake and willingness to leverage mlearning on both basic feature phones as well as advanced smartphones. In the smartphone realm, mobile web-delivered content will prove to be a less compelling mlearning experience as compared to mobile application-delivered content (at least through 2010). Security will become a MUCH bigger issue for mlearning deployments and all vendors will need to step up their game to ensure content/IP

Futures of Learning
There is a danger to museums that encouraging visitors to use their mobile phones for tours inside the gallery may encourage them to use the phones for other functions as well, such as making telephone calls or taking photos of works in violation of museum photography policies, both of which could be undetected by security guards. Some museums also offer interactive games as part of their mobile phone tours, both inside the galleries and online, such as Ear for Art: Chihuly Glass CellPhone Walking Tour at the Tacoma Art Museum in Washington (888-411-4220).
