Would you like to play a Cell Phone review game?
One of the most popular ways to reveiw material in classrooms today is to use a jeoprady type game. On the mLearning-world.com blog , they suggest using cell phones as game "buzzers" and using Microsoft applications to help collect and store data. It might be a fun way to play an old review game. When I started teaching I would use an overhead and have student's raise their hands when they knew the answer. There was always some confusion over who had their hand up first.

Mobile Augmented Reality – A Brief Overview
We may first see widespread use of modern augmented reality technology in the gaming world. Microsoft’s Project Natal for the XBox Platform is attempting to remove the controller from game play by capturing the motion of the person playing the game through an innovative camera setup. The motion capture allows the gamer to interact with the virtual world that exists in the game.
The integration of innovative technology in learning has always been a goal of educators. In the past two decades, we’ve seen advances in learning technology that allow learners

Flash Lite on More Mobile Devices Means More Mobile Devices with Rich E-Learning Content
Microsoft is now licensing Flash Lite for Windows Mobile . Think simulations, games and other traditional Flash e-Learning on your mobile device. This is a good thing if you’re hoping to develop or port e-Learning content to Windows Mobile Devices. Flash Lite is a subset of the desktop Flash environment and the version that will be on Windows Mobile will allow developers to utilize components like Flash Video and a significant portion of the ActionScript 3 programming language.

Some museums also offer interactive games as part of their mobile phone tours, both inside the galleries and online, such as Ear for Art: Chihuly Glass CellPhone Walking Tour at the Tacoma Art Museum in Washington (888-411-4220). It is interesting that the Museum of Modern Art in New York included the newer Microsoft Tags using HCCB (high capacity color barcodes) in their 2008 exhibition Design and the Elastic Mind , but as an aesthetic physical object in the physical museum, not yet as a participatory tool. My mLearning Predictions for 2010
We can all expect advances in next generation devices and capabilities from Apple, Google/Android, RIM/BlackBerry, Microsoft, Palm, Nokia and others. It is also easy to anticipate that i nformal/self-service learning will begin to trump formal/assigned learning in terms of "monthly seat time" as mobile learning begins to facilitate learning and contributing anywhere at any time. So, without further ado and in no particular order, I offer my early January predictions for mlearning in 2010. Mobile learning projects delivered in established and emerging global markets will

From David Hockney to Photosynth: applications that build on social media content
If you have not heard of it yet, I think you will like this application: photosynth of Microsoft . Photosynth is a software developed by Microsoft in collaboration with the University of Washington. I first learned about it by a TED movie featuring Blaise Aguera y Arcas: The photosynth promotion speaks of: "Imagine being able to share the places and things you love using the cinematic quality of a movie, the control of a video game, and the mind-blowing detail During the latest mobile learning conferences, I was frequently surprised by the surplus of mobile learning possibilities.
