However as we started development on mobile learning applications, the game changed drastically. As we move more and more into the mobile space, we’ve found that there are several things very different from conventional courseware. One of the things that come to my mind right away is that in mobile, we are doing away with storyboards.

mLearn08: MiLK: students building mobile learning games in higher education by Debra Polson
She showed showcases of custom mobile games. Debra motivates students to develop mobile games and they love it! Students wanted to create GREAT games, because their peers would play the game and give feedback on it. Debra Polson is a very enthusiastic speaker. All of the examples are about Fun first, then Educational.

Would you like to play a Cell Phone review game?
One of the most popular ways to reveiw material in classrooms today is to use a jeoprady type game. On the mLearning-world.com blog , they suggest using cell phones as game "buzzers" and using Microsoft applications to help collect and store data. It might be a fun way to play an old review game.

NASA goes MMO
NASA wants to start a MMO ( Massive Multiplayer Online game ) as an educational game. At our institute we are working on a game that involves HIV/AIDS, but I will keep you informed on this one as we proceed with our plans This certainly goes towards a full laboratory simulation if you ask me. You've gotta love this idea!
