mLearning Content Types - Level 6: Rich Media
Summary – Level 6 Rich media content (videos, podcasts, Flash clips on supported devices) are the most engaging and entertaining form of mobile-friendly content, but each introduces higher levels of content authoring and delivery complexity for any Training team. That said, larger organizations may already have libraries of existing rich media content that can be converted to mobile-friendly content using standard utilities found within the CellCast Server platform. Level 6: Rich Media NOTE: This is part 7 of 7 and the conclusion of this continuing series; please see earlier posts for more background information. Level 6 is the final stage of the mlearning content model comprising rich-media formats such as podcasts or video, targeted firmly at the smartphone/netbook audience.

The Powerful Combination of Mobile Devices and Learning Apps
For younger children, the utilization of apps that provide drill and practice or flash cards to develop basic mathematical skill
Utilize mapping software such as Google Earth or Google maps in the study of physical geography or urban design/planning
Utilize mapping software such as Google Earth or Google maps to identify important locations of cities or monuments and then access the street view feature in Google Maps to see In discussing the use of mobile devices, it is easy to forget that the educational and productive power of mobile devices comes through the integration of the devices with other tools.

He just grasps his mobile phone, learning the left lessons through video streaming or video calling, downloading available learning applications in the form of java, flash, or 3GP application, and doing other teaching-learning process via his mobile phone. Microsoft is now licensing Flash Lite for Windows Mobile . Flash Lite is a subset of the desktop Flash environment and the version that will be on Windows Mobile will allow developers to utilize components like Flash Video and a significant portion of the ActionScript 3 programming language. What this means is that you can develop full scale mobile applications with the Flash Authoring Tool and deploy them to devices running Windows Mobile. There’s no AdSense, there are no external banner ads, there are no flashing Flash advertisements exhorting us all to “Click here for a free iPod”. Despite the large user base, every request for blog support, maintenance, and improvement that I’ve sent to James over the last two years of edublogging has been attended to with a level of dedication I’ve NEVER experienced from the providers of my essential utilities - electricity, water, gas, or telephone connection. James Farmer launched the Edublogs Magazine earlier this week, featuring “news, information, interviews, highlights, and techniques from around the Edublogs Network and the world of education” - to a mixed reception.
