Flash Player On Devices – Going Mobile Just Got Easier
All the money and concentrated brain power of some of the most innovative and powerful companies will certainly yield some great results in the form of new software, hardware and cloud based applications to enable our productivity and creativity.
One of the best signs for those who make learning content is the Flash Player finally coming to mobile devices in large numbers. As one Google guy I spoke with recently said, “everyone is thinking about mobile.” 8221; And that is a really good thing for mobile learning.

mLearning Content Types - Level 6: Rich Media
Content in either of these formats has the ability to engage, convey and capture a mobile user, and therefore the higher the production value the greater the impact the content will have. Level 6 Content Types The CellCast Solution supports media-based content in podcast audio and video formats. Summary – Level 6 Rich media content (videos, podcasts, Flash clips on supported devices) are the most engaging and entertaining form of mobile-friendly content, but each introduces higher levels of content authoring and delivery complexity for any Training team. Level 6: Rich Media NOTE: This is part 7 of 7 and the conclusion of this continuing series; please see earlier posts for more background information. Level 6 is the final stage of the mlearning content model comprising rich-media formats such as podcasts or video, targeted firmly at the smartphone/netbook audience.

2010 Forecasts
Due to more powerful mobile data networks, ubiquitous access to wireless, mobile tools that work across platforms and more smart phones and devices that are Flash ready, many types of learning can be set free from the personal computer. Already, several financial service firms such as Bank of America and Wells Fargo are exploring using mobile phones to deliver compliance training, product training and performance support/on-the-job aids. I intended to write a blog entry in late December with my predictions for mobile learning in 2010, but somehow never found the time. Since then

Instructional Design: What do you get when you mix articulate presenter, with captivate, with camtasia, with webquiz ... you could get THIS
It works with Flash, so sometimes he preloads to buffer the multimedia files. The final product was produced by Articulate Presenter, but I mixed in Del.icio.us, Camtasia, phpBB, Captivate, QuickCam pro movies, a Ning community, Articulate Quizmaker quizzes, hotspot quiz and even a Canadian Bear! If you are interested in the production specifics, you can click on the tab 'notes' inside the articulate presenter course. How can you mix all kinds of software's AND social media apps? That is one of the questions I have roaming about in the back of my mind.

The Powerful Combination of Mobile Devices and Learning Apps
In discussing the use of mobile devices, it is easy to forget that the educational and productive power of mobile devices comes through the integration of the devices with other tools. For younger children, the utilization of apps that provide drill and practice or flash cards to develop basic mathematical skill
While others may argue that this distraction is not productive, I would argue The mobile device, after all, is a hardware tool that makes certain tasks possible but the actualization of those tasks ultimately depends on the use of software or web tools. Let’s

Learning in Hand Blog by Tony Vincent
Multiple-choice quizzes, flash cards, math games, and the like are plentiful. I’d like to share with you three kinds of products that can be created on an iPod touch or iPhone: Comics, Animations, and Audio Podcasts. The screen will flash and you’ll hear a camera sound. Create It in Your Hand, Share It with the World Below is some of my 30 minute talk at Handheld Learning 2009 in London. The presentation is called Create It in Your Hand, Share It with the World . I decided to become a teacher when I was in sixth grade.

Digital mindmapping tools: my choices for connected visual organisers/presenting
Still fully-featured (it was a paid version until recently), it really jumped ahead of the others I was considering due to the fact that it works on PCs and Macs, AND has a special version for running exclusively from USB flash drives. ve now gone on to use this with our Head of Curriculum and Admin team to demonstrate what’s possible - and they were impressed, not just with the flash-looking end product, but with how powerful it could be for giving presentations to staff.
I’ve had loads of fun lately I must admit just trying out mindmapping/ visual organiser software.

CCK08 - will connectivism without guidance result in unuseful knowledge mutations?
Some useful links: What is Connectivism a short presentation by George Siemens (made in adobe presenter, so you will need the latest flash plugin and quite a strong computer processor - might be difficult for low resource areas). very short summary of the presentation: the human mind builds on: our need to externalize to make sense; our need for frameworks/structures for sensemaking; our need to socialize and negotiate around knowledge; our patterning mind; our desire to exceed our humanity through technology; Connectivism = knowledge is networked and distributed;
