(partially Dutch post) Mobile learning knowledge exchange with educational team of KATHO
KATHO is one of the leading Flemish higher education institutes. It has fully online courses and they are now in the midst of envisioning the future of their educational approach. This educational institution has a fabulous extra: they have a complete cell of 'toegepaste informatica' enabling other cells and departments to form collaborations on eLearning projects. Jean Claude Callens asked me if I wanted to come over and join them to exchange ideas on mobile learning. It was an honor to be invited to speak for this great institution.

Gathering of Educators using ubiquitous devices
As one of 130 educators from around the world (and two from my institution Education Queensland), we logged on to hear real life stories of Universities and Schools that are integrating connected, mobile, wireless devices into their learning activities. Its one thing to read about and even take small steps oneself towards see effective teaching and connected, mobile learning come together; its quite another to hear directly from the actual practitioners involved in large scale rollouts. Last night from 12:30am until 6:30am I attended my first full day web conference.

Instructional Design for Mediated Education | Blog | Location-Based Learning
IDOS Blog IDT Roundtable Search Instructional Design for Mediated Education Blog Entry Location-Based Learning by Eruditio Loginquitas One comment 07 January 2010 In higher education, the uses of location-based learning seem to be limited to particular projects. One reads of examples of location-based learning in architectural classes where students may experience what a neighborhood may have looked like decades ago. One reads of digital installations as parts of student social spaces and libraries.
