My favorite handheld today is the iPod touch . It’s amazing to compare the number of iPod touch and iPhone apps to the number of apps for the Palm Operating System. We had one laptop, two ipods and an iphone. The internet cafe had a wireless connection and we were able to go on a virtual tour of a proposed confernce venue through the safari browser and then book our venue through skype. But they also provide a challenge, not just to traditional course based education, but to ‘traditional’ notions of educational technology which is still very much wedded to VLE based courses. Handheld Reflections Day Two « e-Learning Stuff
Graham Brown Martin as usual opened the event, and unlike other conference organisers takes the opportunity to discuss and reflect on the issues of the day. He certainly did not hold back and told the audience what he thought and what the government of the day should be doing to support and improve education.
