iPods in Education Part 11: Digital Flash Cards
This blog post is in response to all the digital flash card websites that I’ve been coming across lately that are offering teachers digital flash cards for iPod for a fee. There is an easy option for teachers and students to create their own digital flash cards that is totally free.
Obviously, the concept of using flash cards is not new. Traditionally, flash cards are paper cards that have questions on one side and answers on the other. They have been used as a way to help student reinforce curricular learning, to study for tests and to make studying

One of ITM's scientific flash learning instruments
At ITM we have been experimenting with Flash animations as learning tools. Even if practice is foreseen in curricula, learners can still prepare, educate or assess themselves with the use of these animations and simulations. I just want to share one with you all, feel free to add comments or remarks. Practice in veterinary diagnosis is essential and requires hours and days of intensive training in laboratories normally using expensive and high technological equipment.

iPhone Flash Cards—Greek, Hebrew & Syriac: Dr. Jeff Childers
Much has changed since I first wrote about using the iPhone as a tool for reviewing Greek flash cards ( Fall 2007 ). The App Store makes available a number of flash card programs and specialized card sets, downloadable straight to the iPhone. It has a simple, online interface that lets you create flash card decks, edit cards, and-if you like-share them with the world. I have been using iFlipr recently.

How to Create a Flash Lite RSS Reader- Part 1
With Flash Lite, you can create a customized RSS reader that will work with many mobile devices. Important Note: As you may know, Flash Lite does not parse XML directly. The first thing we’ll need to do is parse the XML feed and change it as to be loaded by Flash Lite. Notice that One of the easiest ways to push content to your mobile users is through an RSS feed. With an RSS reader, a mobile device can be set up to read feeds.
