Mobile E-learning Publishing: iPad, iPhone, or Kindle – Which do iChoose?
See also Horizon’s 2010 report , which points to these trends. What remains to be seen is whether the iPad will allow users to import Epub documents directly into their device from a non-iTunes repository , which would provide a much needed nod to more equitable acces While it was enlightening to see Steve Jobs demonstrate what the iPad can do, I found it more interesting to see what the iPad cannot do. Tablet-like in size only, the iPad’s conformity to the iPhone OS, features and ergonomics suggest that we’re seeing Apple promote a renewed focus on empowering crowdsourced content

document sharing software
There are a lot of softwares out there for document sharing. The UI is beautifully done and it gives the user/reader the impression he can almost scroll through the pages of a document. Although Issuu offers some interactivity (sharing, bookmarking, commenting) it is a pity they only accept pdf-documents. Just take a look at the educause But graphically speaking Issuu says it all. For a complete range of formats you need to go to Scribd or ...

They can take pictures to document their learning via their cell phone. Below is an example of someone using Yodio for a book report.
...Tags: A while ago I bookmarked a site called Yodio . Just recently Jimbo Lamb tweeted (and wrote a great blog post) about Yodio and it reminded me that I never reviewed the site. Yodio allows anyone to call in to the

The Future of Cell Phones in Schools...
How this affects schools: Students, teachers, and parents could retrieve their school files and documents anytime from anywhere! 2) By 2010 most cell phones will allow you to store all of your files and documents and share them (similar to a USB Flash hard drive). PixelPipe: Cross-Post Media to Multiple Places from One Text Message
While playing with PixelPipe I immediately thought of iReporting and how students could document their local news reporting in multiple places (just as real reporters do). Not only is PixelPipe a great way to report the news, but also a free and easy way to back up data collections in multiple places.

Tatango! Two Way Mobile Group Collaboration
All of the communication is documentated in the Tatango site. Since all communication is documented it is a great way to not only get help, but for the teacher to see who is struggling and in what areas. The whole discussion is documented in Tatango, so the students can use it for review later on and the teacher can use it to learn what they students understand and what questions may have arisen. A few days ago I posted about Wiggio , a site that allows for group communication and collaboration, where you can get notifications via SMS text. One of the limitations of

Free M-Learning Applications
If anything, CNN reported in January 2006 that Microsoft founder and Chairman Bill Gates believes cell phones are a better way than laptops to bring computing to the masses in developing nations.” Other applications available to use for educators and students include podcasting, photography, and document-creating tools - even a small application that allows a user to create the basic curves for generating 3D Maya models .
It’s fantastic for students to have access to powerful software tools that help them develop their skills; and it’s even better if the software is free.
