A Seamless Learning Approach with Mobile Learning
I recently got my hands on an article called “Leveraging Mobile Technology for Sustainable Seamless Learning: A Research Agenda”, in the British Journal of Educational Technology. Mobile devices were used while conducting the grocery story activity to do things like provide their reflections and log their experiences as well as to take pictures to document the event. It’s I found this article to be insightful because the authors provide a real concrete example of mobile learning as part of a seamless learning approach.

Solar power for your small and big mobile devices!
With solar powered technology you will get all the workspace and electrical independence you need, even in your back garden. With the SolarGorilla (137£) you can charge a wide variety of laptops and mobile devices straight from the USB-port. PowerMonkey eXplorer If the above package is too much and you only need to charge your mobile devices, it suffices to use the PowerMonkey eXplorer (64£). While trying out different types of solar panels, I began to like the set of solar panels mentioned below. Just imagine having to go abroad and no longer having to worry about electricity...

SCORM Implementation For Mobile Devices
Recently we’ve made the UpsideLMS compatible to mobile devices and also launched a new version – UpsideLMS Version 4.0 . While ensuring compliance, we encountered some interesting issues in the implementation of SCORM and found very little help online about implementing SCORM for mobile devices. Mobile devices have limitations:
- So we thought sharing that experience might help.

Five Myths of Mobile Learning
I’ll be the first to admit there is always an element of truth behind myths; but with the rate of technological change, quite a few of those ‘truths’ would seem like falsehoods today.
Devices lack in screen and key size and processing power - It’s said quite often that as compared to personal computers, mobile devices lack the large physical interface devices (keyboard, monitor, mouse, printer…) that personal computers provide. I’ve been occupied with writing a paper to promote the adoption of mobile learning amongst corporates and enterprises.

Digital Audiobooks, Assistive Technology and its Effects on Literacy
Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Literacy)
The proliferation of mobile handheld devices coupled with complex assistive technology software is pushing the concept further. Digital audiobooks and assistive technology software such and text-to-speech software is not new. Where once one needed a cassette player to listen to an audiobook or where once one needed a computer Literacy is evolving. Where literacy once meant the ability to read and write, the concept of literacy in the information age has evolved and expanded beyond that initial definition.

BASIC Cell Phones Can Be Assistive Technologies
While we are starting to see cell phones and software being developed specially for the blind and deaf , I wanted to take a few minutes and explore how BASIC cell phones (without the costly software) can be assistive devices for hearing impaired and visually impaired students. I am NOT an expert on assistive technologies, but I have been hearing from more teachers on how their special needs students are benefiting from cell phone technology, so I wanted to share what I have learned. For the Visually Impaired A VI teacher in one of my courses ( Julie Burger ) shared with me that her VI students often are the last to get to experience new technologies because the technologies need to be modified for the visually impaired.

LogMeIn Ignition for iPhone/iPod touch
LogMeIn is definitely an industrial-strength player and the presence of the client will help to legitimize the iPhone and iPod touch as an enterprise device.
Today, TUAW posted an article about LogMeIn's acceptance of applications for the private beta of LogMeIn Ignition for iPhone/iPod touch, the mobile client version of the remote control platform. With a final release planned for the end of the year, the client will allow full remote control of any computer in your list, including screen blanking and zoom/pan options.

Mobile Augmented Reality – A Brief Overview
The integration of innovative technology in learning has always been a goal of educators. In the past two decades, we’ve seen advances in learning technology that allow learners to connect to powerful learning systems and sources of information that were previously unavailable. However, most recent technologies have forced the learner to learn through computer-generated reality or “virtual reality”. We have been unable to incorporate the physical world around the learner. But recent advancements are truly allowing learners to get the best of both worlds

How to incorporate subtitles in a movie you are converting for mobile devices
A couple of weeks ago I wrote a post (see here ) on how to convert a DVD you have bought to a format that can be played on a mobile device. Tags: mobile tools technology how t Some of you have tried it already, but there was a question concerning subtitles. If you want to, you can use AVS4YOU to add the appropriate subtitles to your converted format. You follow the steps as indicated in the prior post, up until the moment you make yourself ready to click the convert button. Before you push the convert button, we are going to add the subtitles. In order to do this,
