SCORM » Mobile Learning – My Ah Ha Moment
Rustici Software Ask us anything. We know that the SCORM Engine works on the iPhone and Androids devices, but that’s about as far as we’ve taken it. Clearly, mobile devices are most widely used for SMS; apps and mobile web are secondary (making a phone call doesn’t even qualify to be on the list). Really. As I started writing the previous week , we are working on a mobile module that is accessible by a lot of (I know it is vague for now, but I will make it more substantial soon) mobile devices. The models we aim for are currently iPhone 3G, Nokia N95 and HTC TyTn. The MLE is also free software, great!
...Tags: We have been dabbling with some applications, but let's face it, going back to basics normally gives the best result. It might not be sounding sexy, but it does deliver all: the HTML + CSS + mp4 set will be our main coding set for the mobile modules we are planning

GPS Mission: For once a free, fun and working GPS game
Today I reviewed GPS Mission on the iPhone, which is a GPS-based user-powered mobile game. What is especially great about the software is that Germany-based developer Orbster GmbH took the time to support the iPhone 3G, Nokia Symbian and Windows Mobile phones and not only “one of the above”. The mobiles obviously do need GPS or an external GPS device (via Bluetooth). Once registered the user can access or create missions around his locations. For instance, I saw that someone created a photo safari around my town.
