The big news of the moment amongst App developers, is the surprise announcement by Apple that they are relaxing some key restrictions on how Apps can be made. In particular they say: …we are relaxing all restrictions on the development tools used to create iOS apps, as long as the resulting apps do not download any code. On iPhone and Android, it uses Webkit. | IGNATIA WEBS FEBRUARY 25, 2010 Yes, mobile moodle for iPhone is eminent, we will release open source code soon the Institute of Tropical Medicine Alexander von Humboldt (IMTAvH) in Lima and the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) in Antwerp) was working on something special: a mobile moodle for iPhone. They got hold (after politely being given the permission) of the WPtouch for iPhone code by Dale Mugford of Bravenewcode. month of developing, they managed to get this amazing code going. | | | | | | | | | -
IGNATIA WEBS | FRIDAY, MARCH 19, 2010 Our iPhone for Moodle web application aks for your feedback Today we have opened the demo site of the iPhone Moodle site I talked about in previous posts. It was never our attention to develop a Moodle/ iPhone/iPod solution from the start. But as we got feedback from the HCWs in the field, we saw the need to adapt Moodle to enable complete access for the iPhone. The iPhone did work with the MLE, but it did not allow access to all the interactive features of Moodle. Standing on the shoulders of giants The coding got developed by looking at what was already there, and thinking about what would be relevant to have. MORE >> -
IGNATIA WEBS | THURSDAY, MARCH 4, 2010 iPhone on Moodle update: a growing team, but where is Apple? The iPhone on Moodle project I mentioned last week is speeding up and when listening to the Moodle/ iPhone buzz, the momentum is growing. In addition to our Peruvian/Belgian team my colleague Carlos Kiyan (a formidable networker) has persuaded a couple of Moodle/ iPhone guru's to jump on board of the project team: 1.Lewis Carr- United Kingdom [link] 2.Hiroki Inoue-Japan [link] 3.Julian Ridden-Australia [link] So a BIG HOORAY and thank you to all of them!! For they bring the extra confidence we need to publish what is developed. What is discussed? MORE >> -

MOBLEARN | TUESDAY, JANUARY 22, 2013 Building your own apps? Try these top tips! Many thousands of people are developing apps. This is shared with in-house enterprise apps, where quite often the employee gets them for free, allowing the developers to focus on making apps as useful as possible, rather than stressing about pay-per-download. The connection is that Apple have recently released an excellent guide for in house app developers , listing top tips, and advice that - although aimed at iOS developers making in-house apps, are in fact useful to ALL app developers, across ALL platforms. The answer: learn from the gurus. MORE >>
