In particular, the campaign focuses on lower-income groups who don’t have access to traditional care. The Institute of Tropical Medicine promotes ‘ Health care for all’ in its mission statement. However, achieving universal health coverage is easier said than done. The global health scene is still largely dominated by Northern stakeholders. IGNATIA WEBS | THURSDAY, JUNE 26, 2008 Electronic Health Care/Medical libraries: a student instrument created with Articulate Engage This list of Electronic Health Care/ Medical Libraries on the Internet was inserted into Articulate Engage by Carlos Kiyan and is almost 13MB. the helpdesk is quick and they really helped us out with more extensive examples we are trying to develop. This list of medical libraries was made to make it easier for the students to find relevant medical resources. At ITM we are dabbling with Articulate Engage. One of our main concerns is trying to figure out whether Articulate Engage is something we can use in low resource areas. MORE >> -
IGNATIA WEBS | TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2008 eSCART2008: an online course for low resource settings - the final report In a couple of weeks ITM starts another eLearning course for health care workers in the field specializing in ART (AntiRetroviral Therapy). The coordinator of this medical eLearning course (and main tutor) is Verena Renggli she will go and work for the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Basel beginning 2009 ( she returns to her home country: Switzerland ). Not only the development and constant updating of the course content required a lot of time, but also the tutoring of the course.
