JANUARY 18, 2012 4 calls for #papers on #mLearning and #eLearning
We will explore their learning cultures, technology use patterns and discuss new approaches in the schools, universities, lifelong - informal - adult learning settings that respond to them. The spread of educational resources as digital content which accommodate different learning pathways, widening participation and shared learning experience between generations will contribute to closing the technology gap. OCTOBER 4, 2011 First thoughts on #iPhone4S and #iOS5 Apple event -from an Educator #Slide2learn #ADEANZ #ADEuc8ors
Just reading thru some of the details about the announcements overnight – now 500,000 apps – oops, I mean 500,000 potential learning resources. iOS 5 however has many great new free features – like wireless syncing and the notifications upgrade – more than enough to be totally thrilled by I should point out to those who were banking on the iPhone five rumours. I’ve been thinking what’s in it for educators – not much this time. No updated iPod touch, and seemingly no price drop either to compensate. Posted via email from Jonathan Nalder.

AUGUST 3, 2009 ACU's iPhone initiative: a year later
curriculum which incorporates the iPhone needs to be inclusive -- everyone has to have a device -- and materials and resources have to be universally accessible for a plan like this to work. This is in large part due to the fact that the school, for several reasons, was unable to provide any contract with the iPhone, and many students had existing cell phone contracts which would result in a significant enough penalty to discourage starting an AT&T plan. The resources required are significant, but they offer a very good return. Maybe even, before Im out of school?

Which educator with even a vague interest in keeping pedagogy up to date hasn’t shaken their head when overhearing comments like these in staffrooms or education gatherings: “I have a school provided laptop, but it just sits in my cupboard.”. All mobile phones in schools should be banned.”. This year there will be over 1700 educators present. I’m presenting the following paper.

There are more phone users, than there are people having access to running water (Inge thought: telecom companies in low resource
areas might put some of their profits into running or clean water projects - if they are not already doing it). The first school
