Even if Flash doesnt "go away", its pretty clear that Apple wont be supporting Flash on its mobile devices. IS FLASH GOING TO DIE? | | | | | | | MOBLEARN SEPTEMBER 9, 2010 Apple announcement is excellent news for cross-platform app developers! The big news of the moment amongst App developers, is the surprise announcement by Apple that they are relaxing some key restrictions on how Apps can be made. In particular they say: …we are relaxing all restrictions on the development tools used to create iOS apps, as long as the resulting apps do not download any code. They all use different languages. | IGNATIA WEBS MARCH 4, 2010 iPhone on Moodle update: a growing team, but where is Apple? For they bring the extra confidence we need to publish what is developed. If you want to see the history evolving from just a couple of ideas and ending up with more developed results look at the Moodle forum here (you can login as a guest or register) and discuss or add to everything that is said there. Some of you have been asking if we contacted Apple. What is discussed? | RAPID INTAKE MOBILE LEARNING NOVEMBER 9, 2011 Adobe Drops Flash for Mobile - What Does it Mean for mLearning and eLearning? This morning Adobe stated that it will no longer develop the Flash player for mobile devices in favor of throwing their support behind HTML5 development. This will likely be a blow to Android device manufacturers who have counted on the Flash player support as one of the main differentiations from Apple devices, but what does it mean for e-learning and m-learning developers? Apple and Android), most mobile learning authoring solutions (such as Rapid Intake's rapid authoring for mobile learning software, mLearning Studio) publish to HTML5 rather than Flash. | ULEARNING BLOG MARCH 16, 2012 Kids Apps: as selected by miss 4 Great for imagination and developing oral language. the original talking creature app – repeats what you say in fun and interactive ways – very good for developing oral language skills. uLearning Apple apps children iOS Kids mlearn mlearning toddlersAs tested and selected by my Miss 4 1/2 – a 3 1/2 year iOS veteran. MLEARNING IS GOOD | TUESDAY, JULY 28, 2009 M-Learning: Google vs Apple as Web Apps square off against Native Apps Google and Apple appear to have different outlooks on mobile application development, and those differences will certainly have an impact on how we consume mobile content. Apple is very strong in the native app market, where it’s App Store is a marketplace for all sorts of applications. iPhone applications often link out to external services and resources and Google’s Android applications are native on the Android open source operating system (Google also has an Android market place, much like the Apple App Store). Ultimately, it comes down to money. MORE >> -
