DECEMBER 30, 2011 Enterprise mLearning Predictions for 2012
Here on the last day of the year, I offer my predications for the big and shaping trends we’ll see in the enterprise mobile learning space for 2012. As in the past, this year’s list includes predictions across a gamut of new technologies, consumer/buyer trends plus a few anticipated seismic shifts in the world of business that should collectively reshape the landscape for the adoption and accelerated growth of mobile learning for businesses. There will be more types of devices and ways to connect with our mobile learning world in 2012. Mobile Learning Goes Mainstream.

As per data published by Good Technology in their Good Technology Device Activations Report | Q1 2012 , the iPad 2 averaged 17.7 The only two devices to do better than the iPads were the iPhone 4s and the iPhone4. Given this trend, it is but obvious that the demand for rapid authoring tools which can publish content in HTML5 will also increase. 1) Adobe Captivate 5.5

Several more of the Tier 2/Tier 3 LMS vendors also “tossed their hat in the ring” (or towards it anyway) announcing some way of publishing content so it could appear via a mobile browser on the iPhones , iPads and Android device trying to capture a few of their most “loyal fans” in learning land. The arrival of Adobe's Flash Player v10.1 A.K.A. Validated (“Double”). Maybe next year.
