As a teacher, I tried hard to use the handhelds in my classroom as creatively as possible. My handheld-equipped students learned their multiplication tables, historical figures, and science vocabulary faster than they would have with ordinary tools. My favorite handheld today is the iPod touch. Or, many blogging and photo services allow for posting directly from email.
